Calamity

What's the point of being worthless on the surface if you're still drowning?

I'm serious just like a doctor, but you're still clowning.
Its been a while since I been on the edge,
My tummy grumbling because I'm hungry but I'll never beg.

I keep my eyes towards the sky, watching the time fly,
No THC in my system, just a spiritual high.

I'm the exception to the rule, because being cool will often get you killed.
I play the field but oil drills keep the blood spilled.

My perception of reality is just a dream.
What that means is that the picture isn't what it seems.

I see pollution and recycling to try to change.

They say the earth is "warming up," I think its kinda strange.

The bloodlines that are royal only interbreed,

To keep the wealth within the family which equals greed.

So I speed through this life without a single worry.

We're racing fast towards the grave, living in a hurry.
